GJC Tacoma, LLC, doing business as Gather Juice Co. ("Gather Juice," "we," "us," or "our"), operates the juice bar at 2612 6th Ave, Tacoma, WA, the website at gatherjuice.co, and our online ordering site. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

Information we collect
Information you give us directly
Name, email address, phone number, and birthday — when you join our loyalty program, subscribe to emails or texts, place an online order, or fill out a form on our site.
Order details — what you bought, when, at which location, and any notes or modifications you asked for.
Loyalty program activity — points earned, points redeemed, and rewards available.
Anything you send us — messages, review responses, event or catering inquiries, job applications.
Information collected automatically when you visit our website
device and browser type, operating system, and ip address.
Pages viewed, links clicked, referring website, and time spent on the site.
Cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising cookies. See Cookies and analytics below.
Location. We do not collect precise or GPS-level location from your device, and we do not use location-based services. We derive an approximate location — generally city or region — from your IP address. We use it only to understand where our website traffic comes from and to measure whether our local advertising reaches people near Tacoma. We do not use location data to trigger text messages, and we do not share it with anyone other than the analytics providers listed below.
Information we receive from others
Payment confirmation and limited transaction details from our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number. Card data is handled by Square and never touches our systems.
Order and limited customer details from third-party delivery platforms when you order through them. Those platforms operate under their own privacy policies, not this one.
Aggregate ad and search performance data from advertising and analytics providers.
How we use your information
To take, prepare, and fulfill your order, and to process payment.
To run our loyalty program — tracking points, issuing rewards, and letting you know when a reward is available.
To send you marketing emails and text messages, if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time; see Your choices below.
To respond to questions, feedback, reviews, and inquiries.
To understand what people order and when, so we can plan the menu, staffing, and hours.
To measure whether our marketing works — which emails get opened, which offers get used, which ads bring people in.
To detect and prevent fraud, and to comply with legal and tax obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
TEXT MESSAGE PROGRAM
If you opt in, we send text messages from +1 (844) 793-2667 about the menu, seasonal items, events, offers, and loyalty rewards. The full program terms are in our Mobile Terms of Service.
How we collect your number. We collect your mobile number when you give it to us — at the counter during checkout, through a sign-up form, or by texting us to subscribe — along with a record of when and how you opted in.
How we use it. We use your mobile number to send the messages you signed up for, to recognize you in our loyalty program, and to keep a record of your consent and any opt-out.
Who we share it with. We share your mobile number with Klaviyo, which delivers the messages on our behalf, and with Square, which runs our point of sale and loyalty program. Both act only on our instructions.
Abandoned carts. Our online ordering site uses cookies to keep track of items you put into your cart, including when you have left without checking out. We use this information to decide when to send a cart reminder message by text.
What we don't do. We do not sell mobile numbers. We do not use your text message activity to build profiles for anyone else.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help. Consenting to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.
Who we share information with
We share personal information with service providers who need it to do work on our behalf. They are permitted to use it only for that purpose. These include:
Square — point of sale, payments, loyalty program, and online ordering
Klaviyo — email and text message marketing
Squarespace — website hosting
Google — website and advertising analytics (Analytics, Ads, Business Profile)
Google Cloud — data storage and reporting
Meta — social media pages and advertising (Facebook, Instagram)
DoorDash — third-party delivery and ordering
We may also disclose information when we are legally required to — in response to a subpoena, court order, or lawful government request — or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others. If Gather Juice Co. is sold or merges with another business, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Text messaging opt-in data is excluded from all of the above. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. The only exception is the service provider that delivers the messages on our behalf, which is not permitted to use the information for any other purpose.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure advertising. Some of these are set by third parties, including Google and Meta.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work. You can opt out of Google Analytics specifically at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
Your choices
Email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you're off the list. You'll still get transactional messages — order confirmations, receipts — because those aren't marketing.
Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Full details are in our Mobile Terms of Service.
Loyalty program. Email us to be removed from the program. Removing you deletes your points balance, and we can't restore it.
Access, correction, and deletion. Email us at hello@gatherjuice.co and we'll tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may need to keep certain records — transaction records, for example — to meet tax and accounting obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. How long we keep information
We keep customer and order information for as long as your account or loyalty membership is active, and afterward for as long as we need it to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements — generally seven years for transaction records. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as you remain subscribed, and afterward as evidence that you subscribed and when you unsubscribed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including limiting internal access to people who need it. Payment card data is processed by Square and never stored by us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website and services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you more directly.
